Carol, yes, I would have to say the title says it all..."Forgotten".

Carol, I love antique cars. I own a 1949 Packard - the original owner was my Great Grandad. This is a great picture. thanks for sharing....

Carol, that is a great photo!  It is too bad, that truck looks like it could be fixed up!

I like the contrast of the shadows with the chrome, and the reflection of the sky in the windshield is a nice touch.

Carol that photo is wonderful the colors the framing I love it.

Carol:  Yup.  That's my new car... or truck.  Took it out yesterday with buyers... showing homes.  Great vehicle, but gets lousy mileage.  Darn...

Hi Carol,

Very cool truck. Looks like an old 40s Chevy. Thanks for sharing.

Carol, It looks like some polish....and some love would revive this one!  I love the photo and hope it hasn't been forgotten; maybe it's just waiting for it's new owner to restore it :)

Green-o-lina:  Thank you!

Rebecca:  Thanks!  I felt sad when I saw this.  Such a waste.

Tony & Darcy:  I does look like it would be a fabulous restoration project for someone.  Just imagine how beautiful it could be ...

John:  Thank you!

Tim:  Thank you!

Karen Anne:  Is that your new ride so you can come visit NC?  :)

Rich:  I'm afraid it will probably return to the dust before someone would tackle the challenge of bringing it back to life.

Michael:  Thanks!

Carole:  Lots of polish, my friend!  :)  One could only hope that someone would take this lovely old truck home and bring it back to life.

I have a few guys at my house that would go crazy over restoring that nice old truck.  To bad to see it just rot..

Forgotten says it all.  But underneath that neglect lurks a treasure.

That is just pretty.  Rust, time, and weather can actually do some beautiful and amazing things.  Thanks for sharing the great find!

Carol - That's a wonderful photo!  It reminds me of the ole truck that they fished out of the water in the movie, "Fried Green Tomatoes"

What a shame! We have the Daytona Turkey Rod Run here every year. I see all the old, restored cars driving around all over town. They're beautiful when their old glory is restored.

What a great photo for a painting. Truly a unique and beautiful picture. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Carol.

Where did you find this old clunker?  Its a shame you didn't trade it in a few months ago (smile)

Hey Carol, maybe not forgotten, but just a diamond in the rough.  By the way, if you've seen the movie "Cars" then the following line will make some sense..."Tow-Mater!!!"  Happy New Year!!

Thank you all for your kind comments and compliments!  This old truck was on the grounds of an abandoned furniture factory down in Asheboro, NC.  If memory serves me right it was the old P&P Chair Co.  It was just left up against one of the buildings, half covered with weeds and vines.  Too bad someone just left it there.  I have visions of it being a beautifully restored bit of nostalgia.
