It really is amazing to see a cardinal in the snow. We saw them a lot when we lived in NY. Here we have Cardinals but not as much snow. They really do stand out. Thanks for a great photo

I grew up in Kentucky, that is our State Bird and you know the Louisville Ky Cardinals are named after them.

They are still my favorite bird, even if the mails which your photo is is more red.

Sometimes we see them out my window at my office....but I can't ever get a shot. This one is gorgeous.

What can match the red color of a cardinal in winter?  Beautiful picture, Carol.  I really like that dark square around the beak with no eyes showing!  Very distinctive photo!

Carol, great shot! I love cardinals, we have tons here. I have to set up the feeder again so I can get some great shots of them. That would make a great Christmas card!

Carol, we have lots of them too. Last summer we had several different couples with babies. They are so beautiful. Very pretty picture.
